Valle Divina Apartment is located in the Koroska region. Dating back to 1612 it is one of the oldest wooden houses in Koroška.

We were driving from Velenje towards the apartment when our GPS suddenly pointed us to the wrong direction (the road was steep and it didn’t look like the right way to the apartment). We U-turned to the main road connecting Velenje with Slovenj Gradec and after 200 meters we saw a sign for Valle Divina. We followed the signs through the forest and after 7 minutes we reached the forest pearl Valle Divina, a truly fairytale place hidden in the woods. “Wow, Mum look. There’s a swimming pool. Look Dad, what a beautiful house.” We were all impressed by this divine accommodation in the middle of a forest glade. And a natural pool was not far away either 😉

We were welcomed by Mihaela, who offered us a homemade schnapps for the adults and an ice cream for the children. She showed us around the property. As it was extremely hot, the outdoor pool (which is only used by guests of the Valle Divina Apartments) was waiting for us. We spent the whole afternoon there, enjoying the laid-back atmosphere in the unspoiled peaceful nature at the edge of the forest.

The picturesquely situated Valle Divina apartment has 3 apartments. There are 2 studio apartments on the upper floor and a spacious apartment on the first floor. A fully equipped apartment has a spacious living room (a sofa can be converted into a bed for 2 people, flat screen TV), combined with a dining room and a well-equipped kitchen (stove, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, fridge with freezer), which gives guests the opportunity to prepare their own meals. A room with a double bed is connected to a super clean bathroom. The outdoor fireplace can be used by guests as well.

The smell of wood is omnipresent and from the windows you can admire the forest, the meadows and the natural pool in the distance. We enjoyed playing board games on the stairs, eating our meals outside and playing soccer around the house. Filip was also allowed to help mowing the lawn. There really is plenty of space for sports activities. Valle Divina is only one kilometer away from the famous and one of the best cycling trails in Slovenia called Strekna, which connects Velenje with Dravograd.

The Valle Divina Apartment is a true natural oasis in a beautiful setting, perfect for relaxing and suitable for families and nature lovers. It offers everything you need for a pleasant stay and is certainly one of the best starting points for exploring the Koroska region.
