Slovenia, a small country nestled between the Alps, the Mediterranean, the Pannonian Plain and the Balkan Peninsula, and with its 24 gastronomic regions, is a truly paradise for food lovers. It is a must-go culinary destination that has finally been added to Michelin Guide and 6 Slovenian chefs and restaurants received Michelin stars. Michelin stars are a guarantee for cuisine of the highest quality.

The MICHELIN Guide Slovenia 2020 in figures:
1 two-star restaurant (chef Ana Roš from Hiša Franko);
5 one-star restaurants (chef Tomaž Kavčič from Gostilna pri Lojzetu, chef Uroš Fakuč from Restavracija Dam, chef Gregor Vračko from Hiša Denk, chef Jorg Zupan from Restaurant Atelje, chef Uroš Štefelin from Vila Podvin).

Michelin Bib Gourmand was received by 9 Slovenian Restaurants where you can taste excellent meals at affordable prices: Etna, Ruj, Jožef, Na Gradu, Rajh, Gostilna Mahorčič, Gostilna Repovž, Gostišče Grič and Evergreen. 

The Michelin Plate highlighted 37 Slovenian Restaurants where you can taste meals made from fresh ingredients in a homely athomosphere: Julijana, Ošterija Debeluh, Gostilna Vovko, Gostilna Francl, Dvor Jezeršek, Gredič, Hiša Torkla, Marina, Gostilna za Gradom, Gostilna Krištof, Pavus, As, B-Restaurant, Cubo, Harfa, JB, Maxim, Monstera bistro, Separé, Shambala, Strelec, Sushimama, Valvas’or, Vander, Mak, Sedem, Calypso, Pikol, Hiša Fink, Otočec Castle, Galerija okusov, Stara Gostilna, Rizibizi, Sophia, Hiša Krasna, Danilo and Kendov dvorec. 

A special Michelin Sustainability Award has been awarded to 6 Slovenian Chefs and Restaurants: Gostišče Grič (chef Luka Košir), Monstera bistro (chef Bine Volčič), Hiša Franko (chef Ana Roš), Gostilna Krištof (chef Uroš Gorjanc), Gostilna za Gradom (chef Davide Crisci) and Gostilna Mahorčič (chef Ksenija Krajšek Mahorčič). 

Slovenia, a land of authentic tastes and innovative cuisine with the concept from the garden to the table, is taking over the title of European Region of Gastronomy in 2021. On the yummy side of Slovenia!
