We parked our car in the parking lot in Bohinjska Bistrica and from there we took a hop-on hop-off bus to the Pokljuka plateau. A nice driver stopped on the main road, from where it was only one kilometer to the Hotel Sport, the official starting point of the stage 6. The stage runs almost entirely within the Triglav National Park.

It was quite chilly in the morning as we were walking through the Pokljuka forest, passing by secluded alpine huts and meadows. We crossed the main road several times and also had the opportunity to pick mushrooms. On the way, we made a short detour to the Vodnik viewpoint, from where you can admire the entire Upper Bohinj Valley, Lake Bohinj and the mountains above the lake. Preparing a self-catering lunch under a wooden hay rack was a really good choice as the sun was really strong. After passing through colorful villages, we finally reached Lake Bohinj and refreshed ourselves in the crystal clear water.
