Hisa Pep’s Experience
Hisa Pep’s is a recently renovated Bed and Breakfast in the middle of the vineyards of Jeruzalem. It is your perfect accommodation in the heart of Jeruzalem’s rolling hills in the eastern part of Slovenia.
“Would you like me to make a reservation for you at Taverna restaurant before you come to Hiša Pep’s?” Katja asked me on a Friday morning. We all agreed that it was a good choice to eat first before coming to the accommodation. The restaurant had really good local food. We were greeted by Katja, who offered us a welcome drink (she also provides wine tastings in her wine shop) and pointed us to room number 8.
The well-equipped stylish family room has a king-size bed, a couch and a super clean bathroom with shower. A bed and a couch that converts into a bed are very comfortable. We all slept like babies. In the morning we admired the morning mist over the Jeruzalem’s wine growing rolling hills while in the evening we got amazed by stunning sunsets.
After a long beauty sleep, we were served a delicious buffet-style breakfast in the common room on the first floor. Homemade jams, yogurt, salami, cheese, pates, pancakes, fresh pastries, fresh fruit, grape juice. A perfect and fulfilling start to the day.
What is more, we were invited by Katja to visit her farm nearby. We got to know the horses, the little ponies, the goats, the Vietnamese pig, the rabbit and the dogs. The children loved the farm (they were a bit scared of the curious animals, but as soon as Filip spotted a ball and Lucija found a wheelbarrow, they were fine :)).
From Hiša Pep’s you can explore the vineyard-strewn hills of Jerusalem (you can rent e-bikes at Hiša Pep’s as well) and the Prlekija region. If you do not want to do anything, you can simply spend the day in the courtyard and relax on the deckchairs.
With its friendly hosts, outstanding sunsets and delicious breakfasts, Hiša Pep’s is the perfect choice to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy your vacation in the rural Prlekija region.
