Šmartno, medieval village between the endless vineyards in Brda region, is one of the best-preserved cultural villages in Slovenia. It shines on top of a hill that can be seen far from the distance. Walled village with five towers breathes the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. Vipavski križ, a pearl of Vipava valley, stands on a hillock surrounded by fields, orchards and vineyards.
