We spent two lovely nights at Vesna’s home. Wonderful family. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something homely and off the path. Worth it for the starry sky alone. Vesna even offers guided tours to explore the region. We hiked the beautiful Brda wine region and had a great local lunch (with some very fine natural wine of course) in picturesque Šmartno. The Soča Valley is a short drive away and a must see as well. Definitely worth a visit if you want to experience Slovenia’s wonderful nature.
